Our Policy On 11 March 2020, the World Health Organisation declared the Corona Virus (‘COVID-19’) as a worldwide pandemic, reflecting the need for countries to work more aggressively to slow down the spread and severity of the virus. For the safety and wellbeing of our staff and clients, we are adopting the Commonwealth’s suggested approach to “social distancing” to avoid spreading or catching the virus. All of our legal services are now offered online and via telephone appointments. Face to face meetings will be held via Zoom video conferencing (or other common platforms). During this difficult time, we will co-ordinate with you to set up an arrangement that will work for you and your family. Our in-office procedures are designed to minimise the risk of community transmission and to make our clients feel at ease. Our friendly staff members will guide you through the process and assist you with video conferencing troubleshooting difficulties or other technical difficulties before any scheduled appointments. If you have travelled internationally recently or are presenting with common symptoms of flu or have family members in self-isolation; please do not present to our office. We will contact you by phone and arrange an online appointment to discuss your enquiry. Should a face to face appointment be essential, please contact our receptionist to discuss your precise needs further. Any attendances will be subject to a standard screening survey to reduce the firm’s potential exposure to the virus. We will endeavour to take all of the necessary steps to protect the health of our clients and our staff. We have moved our legal services online to provide clients and potential clients the opportunity to seek legal advice in an environment which would not compromise their health.
